I suppose Slither 'n' Squeeze was started shortly after James and I met. James was delivering a
bearded dragon to me, and for our hobbies, it was the best possible chance encounter.
Taken at face value, two more opposite people have possibly never been found. Xeike is a dilligent fire
performer, a skilled animal trainer, a decent artist, a frustrated college student, and a part-time model
with a burning passion for(you guessed it) reptiles. James is a serious-looking individual, but is
always the first to crack a joke or try to make you laugh. He is a hard-working individual, with a passion
for reptiles, and a desire to see them treated fairly.
Our first meeting, we spent almost two hours talking about everything reptile, from how we keep our
own, to forums we're on, reading materials we MUST read, and the horrible situation from which we'd
rescued so many of our own scaley babies.
We have been the best of friends since then, doing many things together, including reptile shows,
rodent-buying excursions, joint ownership of animals, and snake breeding projects.
One day, we just sort of looked at each other while driving home from a reptile show and I'm not sure
who said it first, but: "We could do that. We could do better than that."
Maybe we aren't better yet - but we don't aspire to be "big time" business for a very long time. Our first
and foremost goal is top quality care of the animals we do have, and extending our knowledge to the
public with reptile presentations to schools and parties, and snakes available on set for movies and
photography.
