Slither 'n' Squeeze
Slithering and Squeezing since 2006

So what really is going on behind the scenes at Slither and Squeeze?
LOTS of things! A few of which will be detailed here as breeding progresses, and new reptiles are added to the
breeding and education programs.
For now, a lot of what we are doing is preparing for school and breeding season. Unfortunately, both happen almost
exactly at the same time, so it can be difficult organizing what animals will be breeding each year, and which ones are
being held out of the breeding cycles so that they can appear in classrooms.
Animals that are busy breeding, are doing NOTHING else until breeding, egg laying(or baby depositing), and gaining
their weight back is completely done. It is vital that the animals being used for breeding are exposed to as little stress
as possible during this time.
That is why breeding and education animals are often separated during this time, and even males used in education
programs will not breed that year. For some animals, like Nathan the ball python, or my savannah monitors, this isn't
too hard since they will never be breeding. Other animals, like Bunny the argentine boa and Medusa the jungle carpet
python, it can be a harder descision to make.
This upcoming breeding season is going to be an exciting one. I hope to have my het pieds ready to breed this year, and that alone has me
waiting on the edge of my seat.
Like last season, we will have pastels in the works, and if luck and good-natured animals hold, we should also be producing spider ball
pythons.
We will be attempting to breed Fei, the dwarf colombian again, since it seems as though she didn't become gravid last season. We do hope
to produce at least some plain-old hypo boas this year however, whether or not Fei and Bunny breed.
Still looking for an adult female taiwanese beauty snake - though not a priority, we certainly won't pass up a promising opportunity to breed
Mr.Luna. I feel that he'd make some fantastic offspring.
A suitable mate still hasn't been found for George, a "normal" ball python who is mysteriously lacking in black pigmentation, and a number of
the girls are still gaining weight back from clutches laid earlier in the year.
I am STILL trying to find a suitable female for my children's python, who is currently lazing around and trying to get fat without a female around
to occupy him. ^.~
We hope to get some eggs from the jungle carpet pythons this year, and so far building up is looking great for that.
As far as other ball python morphs goes... For now, we're keeping some things secrets. Check back periodically - this list will be changing as
things progress, and I will be adding charts and pictures at some point for your enjoyment!
